It’s been awhile but I’m back. I guess if you read my last post things kind of went downhill from there. But now I’m back, better, stronger wiser or so I’d like to think. It’s always best to look at each situation as a learning curve – find what triggers you, where your perspectives became blurred. My downfall was I took on too much – removed my boundaries and put others before my own needs – I was burnt out. What helped was taking time out, talking honestly about where I was at and seeking help.

Boundaries have always been an issue I like to help, I often can’t say no. Eventually I end up burnt out and sometimes resentful. I’ve learnt to create better boundaries and aim to be stronger in maintaining them.
In reflecting upon my last depressive episode the key points I learnt were:
Maintaining good boundaries and sticking to them are important.
I can’t help others, if I don’t take care of myself.
Self-care is not selfish.
I’ll go further into these three points in later posts, but until then remember to Live the Lotus Life.
